About the event

You’ve heard much about ‘The Hero’s Journey’, but what is ‘The Heroine’s Journey’? To live a good life is to bring awareness to both.

We’ve selected two ancient Greek myths to take us on a journey. The Odyssey, and from the lesser known Babylonian myth of Gilgamesh, the story of Inanna. Each myth explores different challenges, demands different skills, asks different questions and offers different guidance.  The Odyssey (The Hero’s Journey) addresses our operational self and how we face challenges in our outer world. Inanna (The Heroine’s Journey) guides our relational self and holds up a mirror to the soul, challenging who we think we are.

The promise of a divine evening of listening deeply to become aware of which myth we are in fact living at any one time. We will compare the challenges of our operational self versus our relational.

So come play in drawing wisdom from ancient mythologies.

Jutka Freiman, will guide and skilfully touch on the main points of each myth and see the two journey’s as discreet developmental challenges and opportunities, that despite our gender identity, we all negotiate.
